Joshua King is an Iraq Army Veteran, a law enforcement officer, an advocate for people with special needs and a union leader. While employed as a Deputy Sheriff, he joined the Fairfax County Deputy Sheriff Peer support team as the training coordinator. He supported fellow coworker veterans by helping them apply for disability compensation, entitlements and educational benefits which resulted in many of them receiving compensation and graduating.

In 2015, he continued his service when he ran for the Virginia House of Delegates, and fell short by 125 votes.  He ran on education, transportation, Medicaid expansion, women’s rights and economic development. He ran again in 2017 and lost by 12 votes in a primary. Today he continues his service by helping other candidates run for office as he prepares to run again in 2019 for the Sheriff of Prince William County.
